Compliance Manager

Reports to:  Head of Compliance
Basic Salary:   £45,000-£50,000 per annum DOE
Hours:  Full time (Monday to Friday) - 40 hours per week
Location:  Bournemouth

This role will oversee both the Customer Experience and QA functions, supporting the Head of Compliance in delivering services in line with internal and regulatory requirements. 

This newly appointed position will require someone who has a strong work ethic, is able to be pragmatic and work on their own initiative, together with a strong desire to support the business.

You will ensure that areas identified for improvement are reviewed with appropriate advice and guidance on potential resolution offered.

Within this role you’ll need to have a positive, progressive approach to work in order to inspire other team members and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of the Compliance and QA Departments with circa 15 direct reports
  • Lead and develop colleagues within both departments through regular coaching and performance management
  • Generate and review management information, analysing and reporting on trends and supporting the VOC intiative within the business
  • Generate and review business wide competence KPIs at agent and supervisor level, review competence ratings and manage supervisor competence
  • Policy and process review
  • Support compliance monitoring activity
  • Monitor and report on the  the performance, quality and behaviours of colleagues within QA
  • Provide support to the Head of Compliance as required

Key Requirements:

  • Proven leadership abilities – able to recognise, coach and support development areas on an individual needs basis
  • Lead by example – able to create vision, motivate and inspires others to achieve
  • Strong compliance experience working in a regulatory role
  • Knowledge of FCA handbook, financial crime and competence monitoring
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Ability to manage workload to ensure targets and timescales are met
  • Able to show initiative and make appropriate business led decisions
  • Professional attitude - articulate, organised and customer focused
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
